Water World The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is visited ahead of a challenge in which the contestants must make waterproof creature makeup. Rock Your Body A nude body painting challenge unfolds as the contestants try to make an album cover for hip-hop star and guest judge Asher Roth. Night Terrors The contestants go to an abandoned hospital in Los Angeles, where they are each challenged to create unique horror villains based on a phobia. Tom Savini serves as a guest judge. Dangerous Beauty Werewolf wounds are created, and the contestants must make an original creature that is both beautiful and deadly. Guest judges: Vivica A. Fox and Sam Huntington. Triple Threat Runway models are turned into "ugly ducklings"; the artists must apply old-age makeup to triplets. Alien Interpreters he artists make aliens based on sketches by Patrick Tatopoulos; two contestants face elimination. Guest judge: LeVar Burton. Burtonesque The artists must modify an ordinary occupation into a character worthy of a Tim Burton movie, and three contestants face elimination. Guest judge: Catherine O'Hara. Dinoplasty The contestants visit the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, where they learn that they must create a human-dinosaur hybrid ahead of a double elimination. The Ultimate Spotlight Challenge The three finalists must each create three original characters from a specific genre (horror, sci-fi or fantasy) that will perform a choreographed-dance routine at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, Cal., before the winner is announced.
