Mutant X premieres in SYN the week of October 1, 2001. The series details the exploits of human mutants who are the products of genetic experimentation gone wrong. The five Mutant X characters find themselves on the run from a secret agency which carried out a tightly concealed operation to alter humans genetically. Now, the agency has set out to retrieve its experiments, whose whereabouts are unknown. The main characters are Brennan, who can conduct electricity; Emma, a telepath; Shalimar, whose DNA is half human-half animal; Jesse, who can alter his body density; and Adam, the strategist, tactician and moral center of the team.
